Empathy

As a producer, my job is to problem solve. But what happens when there’s no solution? Especially when it comes to others, how can I help fix the pain others are experiencing?

Well, I’m learning that I can’t. And, I’m learning that that actually doesn’t help.

But, if I really want to help, I should take a step back and just listen. And if I have to say anything at all, all I need to say is, “I don’t know what to say right now but I’m so glad you told me.”

This is what I’m trying to work on.
